The LEGO construction in this image from LEGO Idea Book No. 238 German Edition is a vibrant, compact modern cinema building (or movie theater), designed as a standalone urban attraction.

We don’t see it very well on the picture since it stands behind another building so this will be my own interpretation ! It’s an easy build.
Architecturally, this build embodies mid-20th century modernist cinema design, blending functionalism with playful geometry typical of post-war European and American theaters. The triangular roof mimics the iconic marquee or “blade sign” of classic cinemas, where light-up screens or awnings drew crowds—think Art Deco influences from the 1930s, simplified into clean lines and bold colors. The yellow body evokes sunny, optimistic Brutalist-lite facades, while the transparent grid on the roof innovatively represents illuminated signage or even a drive-in screen, a nod to the era’s booming movie culture.
