Rebuilding forgotten Lego that were missing instructions

PEBE Programm 2000 Bausteinbox 703 : House & Small Cars

This wonderfully serious-looking architectural masterpiece comes from the second page of the leaflet of the PEBE construction set Bausteinbox 703, part of the mysterious and ambitious “Programm 2000” series. Judging by the illustration, PEBE designers clearly believed that the future of housing would involve very straight walls, very red roofs, and absolutely no unnecessary curves.

The scene features a proud little house sitting on a generous green baseplate, accompanied by two vehicles that look like they were designed by someone who had only three goals: make it red, make it boxy, and make it roll somehow.

Naturally, I couldn’t resist recreating this charmingly rigid slice of mid-century brick engineering using standard LEGO elements. By studying the original drawing and translating its heroic geometry into LEGO parts, I rebuilt the model as faithfully as possible — preserving all its delightful seriousness.
