The illustration shows a classic roadside scene: a low service station with a wide canopy, two heroic fuel pumps, and a pair of delivery vans that look ready to transport either gasoline… or possibly more bricks.
Naturally, I couldn’t resist rebuilding this charmingly geometric slice of roadside infrastructure using standard LEGO elements. By carefully studying the original drawing and translating its wonderfully rigid shapes into LEGO parts, I recreated the station as faithfully as possible.
Below you’ll find the LEGO reconstruction, instructions, and parts inventory, so you too can open your own mid-century brick service station — fuel not included.
