842 – Samsonite Town Plan skyscraper

LEGO set 842-2 “Town Plan,” a Samsonite set released in 1969 as a Sears exclusive in the USA. It features a complete town layout with a playmat, buildings (including a house, service station with Shell branding, and a skyscraper), vehicles, and accessories like a pedestrian crossing. We are building the yellow & blue skyscraper.

The plan can be found here. They apparently use a 10×20 Light Grey baseplate to help the mounting, that is being removed afterward.
